Reporting to the Unit Manager, the Area Coordinator position will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the areas programs compliance with regards to tracking, completion and documentation of compliance, safety, training and audit responsibilities for an assigned area. This position will act as the liaison between the area and the support service groups to ensure compliance and documentation of required activities for their teams.
The primary duties of the Area Coordinator are outlined below, but this is not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary:
- Oversight and dissemination of the data collected by the daily rounds, audits and compliance documentation completed by each shift as it pertains to processes, quality, safety, and maintenance.
- Timekeeping and absence documentation and completion
- Training records and schedules
- Safety compliance checklists, audits, and rounds
- Assignment of SOP and JSA updates as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- At least 2 years of refinery experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in task completion, leading an operating crew and process unit troubleshooting are required
- Good oral and written communication skills for dealing with other staff members, contractors and the Operations Manager as well as Maintenance, EHS & the Lab
- Knowledge of and experience with the Bayer Process is strongly preferred.
