Principal Chemist

What You Will Do:

- Independently conduct chemical product development and qualification testing using a variety of laboratory techniques and equipment.

- Run and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment

- Apply knowledge of chemistry, project management, and related scientific principles to execute technical projects.

- Demonstrate proficiency in chemistry and related fields to solve complex problems and deliver innovative solutions in fast paced environment.

- Summarize and present technical findings in internal and external settings, including customer meetings and industry conferences.

- Act with considerable latitude in determining technical approaches to meet objectives.

Position Details:

- 6601 Trunk St., Odessa, TX 79762

- 10 – 20 % Travel

- You will need to live in the Odessa or surrounding areas as this is an on-site position

- Work schedule : Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Minimum Qualifications:

- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with fewer than 2 years of relevant work experience or M.S. with 4 years of relevant work experience or B.S. with 6 years of relevant work experience.

Physical Demands:

- Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing

Preferred Qualifications:

- Oil and gas experience

- Experience in electrochemistry, wet chemistry, formulation work

- Experience with running and troubleshooting various performance testing and analytical lab equipment
