About the role

We are seeking a Principal Advisor, Leadership Capability to join our team at a pivotal moment in our cultural transformation and safety journey. This is a high-impact role designed to strengthen and sustain leadership capabilities across Kennecott, driving meaningful change from the frontline to senior leadership.

As a trusted partner to our leaders and a key member of the business, you will design and deliver development strategies that directly align with our new leadership expectations. You will help create the culture for our leaders to thrive, enabling a strong, inclusive, and high-performing operation.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Designing & Leading Mid-Level Leadership Engagements:

Ensuring all capability building initiatives, tools, and communications are aligned with these leadership expectations.

Development Strategy Across Leadership Levels:

Build a fit-for-purpose strategy for leadership development across all leadership levels, aligned to our organizational goals and leadership expectations while leveraging and collaborating with the Global Learning Team. The strategy will include experiences and resources from the global team along with any localized efforts for specific capability building identified within the business.

Implementing Global Programs:

Partner with our global Talent team to support implementation of the new global Supervisor and Superintendent programs that have been designed based on the new leadership expectations. While not responsible for program design, you will play a key role in developing the implementation plan, working with preferred vendors, and ensuring these programs are successfully rolled out for the Kennecott business.

Driving Coaching Strategy:

Establish a consistent and scalable leadership coaching framework, including guidelines, tools, onboarding, and evaluation mechanisms to support leader development.

+ Assess the current state of 1:1 leadership coaching and align with the global coaching model (GROW). + Partners with preferred vendors as needed to ensure coaching support is available and effective. This could include vendor consolidation based on the current state. + Design and implement peer-to-peer coaching programs suited to Kennecott’s unique context and culture.

What you’ll bring

You are a strategic thinker, a trusted advisor, and a passionate advocate for leadership development. You have a proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization, and you thrive in an environment that requires influencing, collaboration, creativity, and delivering results.

To succeed in this role you should have:
