About This Job

The Principal Accountant under general supervision, assists in the development of the company's business systems, processes, and controls, including policies and procedures, relative to the location and department assigned.

•

Salary: $115,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

•

Collaborate with the Investor Relations department to prepare earnings releases, corporate presentations, and materials for securities analysts, investors, and industry groups.

•

Work directly with the External Reporting Supervisor to ensure the completion of team tasks and responsibilities, developing basic supervisory skills.

•

Assist in supervising team members by providing job training, guidance, and leading regular discussions.

•

Compile, prepare, and review analyses, schedules, and data for the Company’s SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) using SEC filing software (Workiva).

•

Lead the preparation and detailed review of the Company’s quarterly Earnings Release, including supporting workpapers.

•

Assist with the Company’s Earnings Call Script by reviewing and communicating with the Investor Relations department and upper management.

•

Create, update, and review supporting schedules for financial statements and disclosures.

•

Prepare and review disclosure checklists under US GAAP and other applicable standards, such as MD&A.

•

Lead the completion of XBRL for SEC filings using Workiva.

•

Assist in reviewing the Company’s Proxy and other public presentations, such as press releases and investor presentations.

•

Coordinate audit requests with external and internal auditors.

•

Participate in routine and non-routine functions, including ad-hoc requests, government surveys, process improvements, and ongoing projects.

•

Research and resolve complex accounting reports with associated analysis and internal controls.

•

Prepare, post, or review journal vouchers for accounting transactions.

•

Review and monitor financial transactions for accuracy and timeliness.

•

Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial results, including variance explanations.

•

Interact and communicate with other departments and business units to resolve financial-related issues.

•

Coordinate financial report preparation and business analysis.

Qualifications:

•

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.

•

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting-related roles.

•

Knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles.

•

Strong project management skills and knowledge of financial performance metrics such as CVA/NOVA.

•

Understanding of organizational structure and core business operations.

•

Proficiency in general accounting, internal controls, risk mitigation, company policy, financial analysis, statutory reporting, forecasting, and financial applications.

•

Advanced industry and company acumen.
