Site Preventative Maintenance Engineer

Position Overview: This position is responsible for managing the Asset Reliability Management Program (ARMP) strategies to maintain steel producing equipment and facilities, minimizing downtime, and ensure operational efficiency. The Preventative Maintenance Engineer will report to the Corporate Preventative Maintenance Engineer.

Responsibilities

- Drive ARMP initiatives to include KPI tracking, autonomous maintenance, RCA, preventative maintenance, and outage scheduling.

- Manage CMMS Coordinator and Reliability Engineer

- Maintain maintenance-focused Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the facility.

- Manage special initiative projects under the direction of the Corporate Preventative Maintenance Engineer.

- Periodically travel to other USAP sites to become knowledgeable in the performance of preventative maintenance activities and develop best practices.

- Ensure that preventative maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

- Create, distribute, and update guidance documents for preventative maintenance practices

- Experience: Prior experience in a maintenance or engineering role with specific steel industry experience.

Experience

- 5+ years heavy industrial or manufacturing – Steel making experience preferred

- IBM Maximo EAM preferred

- Reliability centered maintenance experience

Education

- B.S. Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
