Job description
Wolverine Corporation is looking for dependable, hardworking, and safe press operators to join our manufacturing production team. The position is for our 1st and 3rd shift operations. Qualifications:
•
Read and comprehend production SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
•
Perform single hit, automatic and/or progressive die work, including loading steel coils and identifying acceptable or unacceptable product quality according to customer requirements.
•
Set up equipment and ensure production materials are available.
•
Operate the presses and observe them during production. If problems are detected, stop the process and make minor repairs or refer major problems to production leadership and/or maintenance.
•
Pack, sort, and re-work (including grinding, buffing, or polishing) a variety of parts as needed.
•
Load blanks onto conveyor system for robotic applications.
•
Use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, gages, etc. to perform quality checks.
•
Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors/managers to achieve productivity goals.
•
Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.
•
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
•
Experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment
•
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
•
Adhere to quality standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
•
Must be able to follow and lead safety standards and practices.
