2nd Shift-Press Operator

Prior experience operating a metal stamping press required; knowledge of progressive dies and metals (steel and aluminum); basic Math skills; strong mechanical skills; ability to read and follow instructions; Must be able to lift 30 lbs. (or greater at times); must be able to stand for long periods of time

Description of Duties:

Loads metal coils on press to be stamped;Provides problem-solving input to support stamping production;Enters settings on press according to material and product being stamped; Engages press to stamp parts;Sorts stamped parts for processing;Clears metal scrap from press.Has the authority to stop production from running should he/she feels there is bad product being produced.Follow all safety policies and lock-out tagout procedures.Other duties as assigned.

Summary

As a 2nd Shift Press Operator, you will be integral to our manufacturing team, focusing on the operation of stamping presses. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and precision measuring instruments to ensure quality output. Your core skills in basic math will be essential for interpreting specifications and maintaining accuracy. Additionally, familiarity with manufacturing processes and relevant tools will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
