Set up, edit and operate CNC Press Brake machine to bend, notch, form, or straighten aluminum, steel and stainless steel to achieve specified results while adhering to internal and customer-driven quality standards and scheduling requirements.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, work orders, and work instructions
· Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric conversions
· Able to use standard measuring tools, hand tools and material handling equipment commonly used in metal manufacturing
· Must be proficient in math and able to competently apply it in the production process
· Able to read and interpret drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operations
· Run bending operations using standard and custom tooling
· Select proper tooling based on material thickness and type
· Set up tooling, load programs, and set machine parameters
· Perform inspections of parts; check height, depth, and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other precision-measuring instruments
· Produce the first piece of a product in a run, inspect the piece by using standard measuring tools and then finish the production run maintaining quality standards throughout the run
· Use a CNC controller to input information into press brake
· Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and drawings
· Monitor and evaluate machine operation; troubleshoot production problems and their causes and take appropriate corrective action
· Report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to the supervisor
· Complete and maintain production and quality paperwork
· Performs all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedure
Must be able to routinely stand, sit, stoop, twist and bend. Must be able to lift 0 – 50 pounds frequently; 50 – 75 pounds, occasionally. Visual acuity required for reading machine controls, written material, and drawings, and to inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications. Hearing ability sufficient to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
Environment is a sheet metal fabrication shop. Worker will be subject to high noise levels and exposed to heavy machinery. Worker may be exposed to dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Sheet metal can cause cuts and lacerations. Metal is highly conductive of thermal energy. Burns are possible when metal is exposed to open flames or a heat source. Inhaling sheet metal dust can increase the chances of respiratory illness. Exposure to oil and grease is possible. Machinery such as turrets, lasers, press brakes, shears, saws, and mills can cause bodily harm in the event of improper operation or malfunction.
