Press Brake Operator - 1st Shift (6:30am-3pm M-F)

NELSON STEEL PRODUCTS, INC., a leader in sheet metal fabrication, has an opportunity available for press brake operators on 1st Shift.

1st SHIFT OPERATORS NEEDED: We work a standard 5 days at 8 hours per day (6:30AM-3:00PM M-F).

Essential Functions

1. Operate Press Brake Machines to produce parts for assembly operations

2. Operates Press Brake Machine to cut, bend, and shape work piece.

3. Sets stops, dies, adjusts components

4. Performs regular quality checks on work piece

5. Checks height, depth and thickness using gauges, calipers and other measuring instruments

6. Grinds out burrs and sharp edges of work pieces

7. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.

8. Communicates with supervisor, production, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.

9. Communicates to co-workers and other team members in an effective way.

10. Follows proper safety, OSHA, and ISO guidelines for operating a Press Brake
