Press Brake Operator- 1st and 2nd shift

JOB SUMMARY

$18-$28 an Hour

This position is responsible for setting up and operating stamping presses, pre-setters, and other secondary equipment.

Responsibilities include:

· Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

· set up, adjust, and operatestamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipment

· Set up coil line and feeder equipment to feed material into press

· Perform in process checks on parts and minimize scrap

· Maintain a clean work area

· Perform work in line with quality requirements and ensure that parts are made to print

· Operate a forklift on a regular basisData entry on computer system

· Perform daily checks on machines

· Additional items as assigned by manager

PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

This position interacts with other manufacturing personnel, project managers, and area supervisor.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· Intermediate knowledge of blueprint reading

· Proficient at setting up, adjusting and operating stamping presses and other secondary metal processing equipment

· Ability to operate coil line and feeder equipment

· Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

· Ability to be detail oriented

· Ability to be dependable and trustworthy

· Ability to be work well in a team environment

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· High School graduate or GED

· 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating stamping presses, pre-setters, and other secondary equipmen
