Precision Sheet Metal Quality Inspector

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Precision Sheet Metal Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision in sheet metal components used across various industries. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with industry standards such as ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and ISO 9001, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

- Perform detailed inspections of sheet metal parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.

- Utilize vision inspection systems and other advanced quality control tools to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations in manufactured components.

- Conduct regular quality audits in accordance with ISO 13485, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality systems.

- Document inspection results accurately through data collection methods, maintaining comprehensive records for traceability and analysis purposes.

- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly, providing feedback for process improvements and defect prevention.

- Support calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments to ensure measurement accuracy and reliability.

- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes during quality management reviews or non-conformance investigations.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques within manufacturing environments, especially related to sheet metal fabrication.

- Proficiency with calibration tools such as calipers, micrometers and vision inspection systems.

- Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and related quality management systems.

- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing quality assurance protocols.

- Excellent analysis skills for identifying root causes of defects and recommending effective solutions.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement data accurately.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting inspection findings clearly. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
