WORK PERFORMED:* Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and evaluate machine malfunctions. Determine the sequence of operations, procedures, and methods necessary to perform precision skilled maintenance functions such as repair, modification, and overhaul of lathes,. mills, semi and automatic machines, precision grinders, numerical control machines. Determine and recommend major repairs in order to reestablish manufacturer's tolerances, alignments, etc. Perform functional tests of machines and equipment to determine nature and cause of malfunctions.

Minimum Qualifications:* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:* Journeyman card

Summary Pay Range:

$26.00 - $46.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
