Parts and Field Service is now looking for an enthusiastic Machining Technician to join our skilled QuantiServ team in Houston, TX.

QuantiServ offers specialised, fast and reliable support, maintenance and repair services for our customers.

The QuantiServ team currently consists of some 400 specialised professionals. They provide reconditioning and in-situ services as well as flexible repair and overhaul services for auxiliary and generating sets onboard customers’ vessels.

The repair and overhaul services are carried out by ‘Mobile Teams’, which board the customer’s vessel and perform the job during the voyage.

What will you be doing?

As a Machining Technician, you will perform machining work in both the Workshop and in the Field. You will precisely machine and rebuild a large variety of reciprocating engine components according to QuantiServ’s established guidelines and safety protocols. You will oversee and manage all aspects of on-site machining operations- from line boring to crankshaft machining.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and train a team of skilled Machinists to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timelines and quality standards.

This position reports to the In-Situ Manager.

Candidates are expected to display a high level of critical thinking and reasoning skills, identify as high performers, as well as being self-motivating.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires a 20% travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations. The role demands adaptability to varying travel demands, with an expectation of extended periods away from the primary work location. Prospective candidates should be prepared to fulfil these travel obligations as an integral aspect of the position's responsibilities.
