The Power Supply/Key Customer Relations is responsible for managing and optimizing processes and procedures related to power supply forecasting, planning, and hedging strategies, power supply budgets and projects. This position is responsible for managing DEMEC’s key account program providing added value to members and their customers.
1. Forecasts member energy usage and peaks for no less than five future years, with a monthly granularity.
2. Leads in the development of member 5-year capacity plans and forecasted rates to provide budget details to Members and finance department.
3. Develops member energy hedging strategies and takes actions to implement agreed upon strategies.
4. Leads in the development of power supply related educational tools and presentations for Members.
5. Works in conjunction with Finance/Accounting in the review of power supply invoices to ensure quality.
6. Assists with the development of power supply related aspects of the project budgets.
7. Stays abreast of PJM rules and impacts on Members and projects.
8. Responsible for overseeing the transmission and capacity peak shaving program.
9. Responsible for overseeing the ARR/FTR strategies for the Members and projects.
10. Provides reports and feedback to the President & CEO and the Board.
11. Build DEMEC’s Key Account program by working closely with the President & CEO and Members. The Key Account program includes all facets of communication, organization, member relations, follow up and site visits of key account holders.
12. Provide direct technical support services that includes conducting power quality investigations and electric load monitoring of key account holders. Investigation and monitoring include but not limited to receipt and interpretation of power data, analysis, report generation, distribution to account holders and follow up.
13. Coordinate with third-party engineering service providers to deliver technical services to key account holders. Orchestrate the necessary internal budgetary approvals, invoicing, and billing. Ensure that third parties represent DEMEC’s Key Account program through all interactions with key accounts holders and member participants.
14. Develop and foster excellent working relationships with key account holders and member participants. As necessary, provide guidance regarding rate provisions and management services.
15. Facilitate appropriate notification, application writing, submittal, and implementation of grants available to key account holders and member participants.
16. Support DEMEC’s economic development program focusing on facilitating load growth and support for business expansion across DEMEC membership
17. Prepare, monitor, maintain and track DEMEC’s Key Account program and associated technical services program budgets
18. Foster teamwork, collaboration, and a success-oriented, accountable environment within the Company.
19. Embody and uphold the Company mission, vision, values, and culture.
20. Ensure honest and effective communications with the President & CEO, and the agency’s governing body to ensure a high level of trust.
21. Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the Company

1. A minimum of a four-year engineering or business-related degree is required.
2. Five or more years of experience in the electric utility industry, including supervisory responsibilities preferred.
3. Three to five years of experience with customer services and/or business relationships preferred.
4. Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of electric utility standards, operations, markets, and generation.
5. Experience and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple organizations, companies, and individuals.

3. Must be able to lift and carry related materials or parts of at least 25lbs while adhering to safety standards.
