Working in a team environment, the Power Supply Trading Analyst will support the power supply efforts. The team is directly responsible for managing risk within the IGS power portfolio, which involves setting price curves, hedging power sales, interacting with ISOs, managing short term weather risk, and supporting sales efforts.
- Perform daily position report creation and validating daily deal flow accuracy.
- Perform the process to validate and publish forward energy curves that feed the pricing models for power sales.
- Support completing auction and RFP qualification requirements and preparations.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with suppliers, grid, and utility contacts.
- Aid in the analysis and hedging of a portfolio of power sales to customers.
- Support the sales efforts throughout the company.
- Responsible for weekly and ad hoc reporting to convey market changes and fundamentals to support C&I Sales.
- Provide ad hoc analyses and information to help support various aspects of Supply and other internal customer requests.
- Develop power market expertise in IGS markets to inform model building and support new initiatives.
- Develop a proficiency in other Power Supply responsibilities to provide team coverage.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to use advanced formulas and models in Excel to support analysis.

- Experience with databases using SQL or other code to retrieve, consolidate, and report on large datasets.
- Ability to successfully execute complex tasks independently and accurately.

- 0 to 5 years of experience working in the power or commodity markets preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field of study such as Business, Engineering, or a Science preferred.

- This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
