The position supports GE Vernova's government engagement initiatives in the United States, representing all business units and the Government Affairs & Policy team. In close partnership with the Government Affairs & Policy leadership team, the position will lead political law activities and compliance as it relates to lobbying reporting, political action committee activities, and employee engagement. Additional responsibilities related to government advocacy and business support may develop in coordination with the needs of the Government Affairs & Policy team.
- Administration of internal systems and processes necessary to ensure GE Vernova's lobbying compliance in the U.S. including the preparation and submission of required lobbying reports in collaboration with internal and external counsel
- Administration of GE Vernova's Political Action Committee's governance and operational systems including the strategic development of internal and external PAC efforts
- Service as an advocate to GE Vernova employees as it relates to lobbying compliance, PAC activities, and other government compliance matters
- Support for additional employee-facing programs related to advocacy and internal communications related to advocacy initiatives
- Bachelors degree preferably in political science, public policy, law, or economics
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience working on U.S. government affairs matters, including significant experience in lobbying and/or political action committee compliance systems
- Deep knowledge of U.S. government institutions, regulations, policies, and legal requirements associated with essential responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to think and lead on a strategic level within a complex organization
- Fluency in English is required
- Track record of successful creation and application of systems on behalf of a corporation
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and to lay out clear, logical and implementable game plans
- Proven ability to execute effectively on priority tasks and responsibilities, including linking details to broad outcomes
- Ability to build excellent working relationships within a matrix environment at all levels of the organization
- Advanced communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to deal effectively with people and work in diverse multinational teams
- Ability to anticipate trends and manage risk
- Ability to motivate and inspire others
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
The base pay range for this position is $177,000.00 - 290,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. - The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
