As a Plasma Table Operator, you will play a crucial role in our Fabrication Department, contributing to the cutting and preparation of raw metal materials for the fabrication & welding process. This position involves operating an 8’ x 20’ (5) axis 300 A High-Definition Plasma Table, interpreting manufacturing drawings, and ensuring the quality of finished products. - Learn to operate plasma table.
- Read, understand, and use basic measuring tools.
- Interpret manufacturing drawings/prints.
- Measure and cut metal materials to specified dimensions.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete projects.
- Follow established procedures and protocols in the metal fabrication process.
- Understand and adhere to the production schedule.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures and complying with safety and quality standards.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Steel Solutions, Mondays, ACAD, etc.)
- Follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Capability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
- Production Oriented, comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Overtime as needed to meet fabrication delivery dates
- Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with ease of movement in a fast-paced environment.
- Engage in repetitive motion, clutch, lift, grab, bend, stoop, push, and pull without difficulties.
- Able to use oxygen / acetylene torch, hand plasma, grinder, overhead hoist, and misc. hand tools.
- Forklift Operations to handle plates
- Stand on feet during work shift and effectively communicate issues.
