Summary

The Lead Operator provides leadership and support to plant operating personnel, working under the direction of the Assistant Plant Manager. This role is responsible for coordinating plant maintenance activities, assisting with training and orientation, and ensuring adequate coverage of operating shifts when necessary.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plant Operations Leadership

- Provides the initiative necessary to ensure the continued operation of the central plant in the absence of the Assistant Plant Manager and, where appropriate, the Plant Manager.

- Training & Orientation

- Assists the Assistant Plant Manager in the training and orientation of operators.

- Maintenance Coordination

- Performs and/or coordinates plant maintenance activities as directed by the Assistant Plant Manager.

- Prepares material requisitions and cost analyses for repairs.

- Oversees all maintenance schedules and ensures their completion.

- Maintains records, logs, and inventory of all plant systems and required supplies.

- Assists in coordinating service and maintenance work performed by outside contractors.

- Shift Coverage

- Ensures adequate shift coverage when an operator is absent or a vacancy exists.

- Performance Evaluation

- Assists the Assistant Plant Manager in evaluating the performance of operators.

- Cross-Plant Support

- Available to assist other Win-Sam Plant Managers during emergencies or for specialized plant operations.

- Administrative Support (as directed by Assistant Plant Manager)

Pay: From $28.83 per hour
