Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on, results-driven Plant Manager to lead daily operations in our steel fabrication facility. This critical leadership role oversees all aspects of the production process—including team management, scheduling, lean manufacturing, quality control, and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities:
🔧 Production & Operations Management
•Oversee daily production activities to ensure on-time delivery, optimal workflow, and product quality.
•Coordinate closely with the scheduling team to align production plans with project deadlines.
•Manage resource allocation—manpower, materials, and equipment—for maximum efficiency.
•Monitor production KPIs, address bottlenecks, and drive process optimization and downtime reduction.
👷 Team Leadership & Development
•Lead and supervise a team of 25+ production staff, including welders, fabricators, machine operators, and QC technicians.
•Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and employee growth.
•Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide training, and promote continuous skill development.
⚙️ Lean Manufacturing & Process Improvement
•Implement and sustain Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
•Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs.
•Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational excellence and scalability.
🛠️ Quality Control & Assurance
•Enforce strict quality standards throughout the fabrication process in collaboration with the Quality team.
•Investigate and resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are effective and sustainable.
•Maintain a proactive approach to non-conformance tracking, root cause analysis, and prevention.
🦺 Workplace Safety & Regulatory Compliance
•Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
•Conduct regular safety audits, resolve hazards promptly, and lead ongoing safety training programs.
•Champion initiatives that support a clean, organized, and compliant workplace.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience managing production in a metal or steel fabrication environment.
•Strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and team supervision.
•Solid understanding of quality control systems, compliance, and safety regulations.
•Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
•Experience with production scheduling tools and performance metrics.
