THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Manager, Senior Project Controls, the Senior Planner / Scheduler provides corporate oversight of
project schedule integrity. This role focuses on reviewing EPCM-developed schedules for logic, critical path, and
progress accuracy, ensuring alignment with approved baselines and financial forecasts. The position supports
governance by monitoring schedule risks and escalating issues to senior leadership. The role also coordinates with
other corporate priorities and projects.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or an equivalent
- Certification in Project Planning or Scheduling (preferred)
- 10+ years of experience, 5+ EPCM/Mining Project Assignments- Proficiency in Primavera P6, SAP, project management systems, and SharePoint.
- Understanding of EPCM project lifecycle and mining industry standards.
- Analytical skills for schedule forecasting and scenario evaluation.
- Communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and enforce schedule governance processes.
- Accurate and timely review of EPCM schedules and updates.
- Review EPCM schedules for logic, critical path accuracy, and compliance with governance standards.
- Validate schedule updates and progress reporting against approved baselines.
- Monitor schedule risks and variances; escalate significant issues to the Senior Project Controls Manager.
- Ensure alignment of schedule reporting with financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Prepare summary dashboards and variance reports for management decision-making.
- Participate in schedule review meetings with EPCM and internal stakeholders.
- Coordination of project schedules with overall corporate objectives.
