The South Bow Pipe Integrity and Facility Integrity teams are seeking a motivated student who is eager to gain hands-on technical engineering experience. Eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science with an Engineering focus, Bachelor of Engineering, or a related field of study.
Our Integrity department ensures the safety and reliability of both mainline pipelines (Pipe Integrity) and facility piping (Facility Integrity). We achieve this by developing, implementing, and continuously improving integrity programs and risk-based solutions, while meeting all regulatory requirements.
During this work term, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with experienced professionals across both teams, gaining valuable exposure to real-world engineering challenges while contributing to safe and reliable operations. You will join a dynamic, collaborative environment that provides valuable insight into the energy industry along with significant professional development opportunities.
Term Length: 16 months (with the potential for extension)
- Project Support: Assist subject matter experts with project execution to ensure smooth implementation of integrity programs
- Engineering Analysis: Support senior engineers in managing threats through stress and corrosion analysis, integrity assessments (e.g., inline inspections), data analysis, and project scope development
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to South Bow procedures and regulatory requirements
- Other tasks, as required
- Actively enrolled in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Chemical, or Energy Engineering), or equivalent, with at least three years of education completed
- Enrollment at an accredited university, returning to school for at least one semester following the work term
- International students must hold valid study permits and post-secondary work placement documentation
- Demonstrated safety mindset and alignment with South Bow’s values.
