Pilot Plant Supervisor

Ergon Refining in Vicksburg currently has an opening for a Pilot Plant Supervisor. The Pilot Plant Supervisor is a process driven and mechanical position as part of process support whose primary function is to research and develop crude assays and refinery process conditions, catalyst, charge stocks, and products. In addition to these tasks, the Supervisor will handle most administrative and supervision centered task in the pilot plant.

Pilot Plant Supervisor Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Intermediate knowledge of refining processes, process operation, mechanical, and computer skills needed

- Minimum five (5) years experience operating process, lab, or pilot equipment

- Able to maintain good working relationship with other refinery personnel

- Must have successfully completed and passed a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation (FCE)

- Must have high level of interpersonal and relational skills

Pilot Plant Supervisor Responsibilities

- Maintain safe working habits and a "Safety First" attitude.

- Coordinate shift schedule including vacation and sick time.

- Provide feedback to Process Technical Services Manager for coaching sessions and evaluations.

- Execute the production schedule and communicate any issues to Process Technical Services Manager and Process Technologist

- Maintain the sample matrix for pilot samples

- Coordinate training of new operators

- Maintain relationships with QA Lab and Process Technologist to optimize efficiency

- Operate and maintain the PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation equipment.

- Organize and ensure retain of PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation samples.

- Maintain PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation data files generated from test runs.

- Execute catalyst trials, test runs, and fractionation efforts as assigned.

- Order and maintain consumable inventory and equipment spares.

- Assist in PDU, SDA, and crude fractionation upgrades or modification.

- Complete purchase requisitions and maintenance requests in SAP.

- Complete and maintain training certifications related to the safety of the pilot plant.

- Attend staff meetings for the Process Technical Services group.

- Participate in leadership training as assigned by manager.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. A clean MVR is required.
