A.Y. McDonald is looking for a Plant Manager to join the organization. This position will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production/manufacturing, ensure policies and procedures are followed and lead a team of ~75-100 coworkers at our Albia, IA location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Provide servant leadership to plant teams through guidance, support, and development.
- Collaborate with and train team members to reflect A.Y. McDonald’s core values.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with plant staff and cross-functional departments.
- Drive continuous improvement using a People-Quality-Production-Cost (PQPC) methodology.
- Identify and resolve root causes of problems through new or revised methods and procedures.
- Align plant strategies with company initiatives and maintain a clear operational focus.
- Plan, organize, and optimize daily operations to exceed customer expectations.
- Collect, analyze, and utilize operational data to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Increase equipment capacity and operational flexibility through innovative solutions.
- Lead capital improvement projects and manage the plant’s annual operating budget.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Activity Indicators (KAIs).
- Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Stay informed on best practices and evolving technologies in production management (automation experience a plus).- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of experience as a plant manager in a similar industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills including an ability to drive change and encourage innovation
- Strong knowledge and experience leading manufacturing processes (Machining/CNC/Automation background a plus)- 3 year(s): 3+ years as a plant manager in a similar industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
