PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Act as main point of contact for key account enquiries, technically evaluating the customer’s requirements, cost accurately the scope of supply and involvement required by the company, and ensuring high quality quotations are produced by the team which meet the customers’ requirements and adhere to the company’s commercial policies
•Achieve internal sales KPIs and metrics – increase quotation to order conversion rates, identify reasons for non-conversion (communicate these to internal stakeholders) and make recommendations for improvement to secure future conversions
•Effectively qualify opportunities, offering the customer insight into processes and timings in line with the internal/external needs and as a result maximizing revenue on the account
•Tight management of key account pipeline to ensure accurate revenue forecasting
•Create and present regular sales and activity plans including forecasting to present to key stakeholders of the business
•Liaise with all customer accounts, developing a good working relationship and attend to their requirements or requests efficiently and diligently ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service from all areas of the organization
•Maintain open and constant communication with customers to gain information on customers future strategy and communicate back to Regional Sales Manager for future strategic planning and delivery
•Regularly liaise with the Inside Sales team where necessary to coordinate the correct technical and commercial response to the client
•Review customer orders, make competent technical and commercial evaluations of the customer’s order and relevant specifications
•Work with product engineering to ensure NOV is at the forefront of technical advancement
•Progress quotations directly with key accounts to verify proposals interpret requirements correctly, to ascertain if our proposal is commercially acceptable and to ensure that the company is in the best possible position to win any potential business
•Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders for technical and commercial information and evaluate competently the received information as part of the quotation process to the customer
•Present strategy to regional sales & service manager; gain approval and implement.
•Through contact/customers keep company abreast of new technology either on the market or as required to maximize an opportunity.
•Monitor customer issues, feedback, deadlines, and deliverables and ensure customer issues are handled effectively and quickly, adapting, improving, and communicating internal processes as and where necessary
•Oversee/manage any commercial changes to an order and communication of the same to the Customer
•Provide market data as directed by Regional Sales & Service Manager, detail is collated for trend/statistical analysis, inventory planning, yearly forecasting, and competitor monitoring.
•Revenue responsibility for Key accounts reporting increases and future plans of key accounts
•Support effective communications within all areas of manufacturing and supply chain ensuring that relevant information is supplied or received promptly as part of the quotation process
•Complete contract review and notify the involved departments of their input to the order and alerting the Regional Sales Manager to any non-standard commercial requirements that may impact the company
•Ensure all quotations for your key accounts are handled by the team in accordance with customer requirements
•Participate in training as required
•Report Sales and Marketing expenditure via reimbursement expense sheets by the 20 th of each month to enable timely payment
•Communicate issues and status reports for both internal and external use
•Carry out job requirements in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
•Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV
•Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures
•Ensure compliance of the company’s overall objectives
Other duties as assigned by Regional Sales Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or equivalent required
•Sales or Marketing experience required,
•3 to 5 years in related oil/gas industry
•Proven attention to detail, accuracy, analytical skills, and excellent numeric skills
•Excellent organization and time management skills
•Proactive attitude, time sensitivity, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, personable, and able to work with minimum supervision.
Enhanced communication skills to enable constructive dialogue and the development of close relationships with fellow employees, customers, and internal functional departments at all levels
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office -Excel, Word, Outlook)
•Knowledge of integrated business systems is an advantage
•Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems preferred
•Proven understanding of oil and gas markets
•Due to the nature of the industry, 24-hour contact is required. Cellular phones are provided for this purpose.
