Suncor Stainless - Regional Sales Manager
DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Sales Manager to lead our team in the specialized industrial, lifting & rigging, and marine stainless steel hardware market. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be instrumental in driving our proactive sales efforts, focusing on identifying, qualifying, closing, and expanding opportunities with both current and new accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to coach and develop our Regional Account Managers (RAMs), empowering them with modern sales methodologies and product expertise specific to stainless steel applications. You will also play a key role in nurturing top-tier client relationships, collaborating closely with external representatives, and leveraging CRM insights to maximize account potential
Key Responsibilities:
•Strategic Account Development: Partner with RAMs to develop and execute living, detailed account business plans for top-tier accounts and prospects, focusing on expanding the usage of our stainless-steel product lines.
•Team Leadership & Coaching: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of Regional Account Managers. Provide ongoing coaching on modern consultative selling techniques, value-based selling, and objection handling within the industrial and marine sectors.
•Pipeline & Performance Management: Drive consistent pipeline and tracking through the CRM system, ensuring RAMs maintain accurate and updated opportunity pipelines. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
•Advanced Prospecting & Opportunity Qualification: Coach RAMs on advanced prospecting techniques, including leveraging digital tools and market intelligence to proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities within existing customer organizations.
•Client Relationship Management: Facilitate and conduct strategic on-site customer visits, building and nurturing relationships from the C-suite down within key client organizations to drive long-term partnerships.
•Product Expertise & Sales Enablement: Develop and deliver comprehensive training and reference materials to enhance RAM efficiency and deep product knowledge of our specialized stainless-steel hardware.
•Collaborative Field Engagement: Regularly travel with Regional Account Managers, outside representative groups, and directly to key accounts to jointly develop relationships, identify new business avenues, and support significant growth initiatives.
•Custom Solution Identification: Work with RAMs to identify ideal opportunities for custom product quotes, expanding our stainless-steel product offerings to meet specific client needs.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate efforts with internal resources (Customer Service, Marketing, Purchasing, Product Marketing) and outside representatives to ensure seamless customer experience and maximize account potential.
•Market Representation: Occasionally represent Suncor at key industry trade events, showcasing our stainless-steel product advantages.
Qualifications & Skills:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
•Minimum of 10 years of progressive B2B sales experience, with at least 5 years in a sales management role within the industrial, marine, or manufacturing sectors.
•Proven expertise in selling technical products, with a strong preference for experience with specialized hardware or materials like stainless steel.
•Demonstrated proficiency in CRM software for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
•Excellent command of Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
•Strong experience with modern consultative and value-based selling methodologies.
•Strategic, results-oriented leader with a record of accomplishment of consistently exceeding sales quotas.
•Exceptional ability to multitask, manage complex sales processes, and coach effectively.
•Superior oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
•Ability to travel as required for customer visits and trade events.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
