Job Summary

The Performance Excellence Team acts as internal consultants to other organizations within TXUE, providing project management and continuous improvement by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management methodologies to corporate functions.

The Performance Excellence Team helps the organization by managing projects within VST Retail portfolio to support enterprise business needs, drive high performance, and achieve its strategic vision.

Performance Excellence Specialist reports to the Sr. Manager of Performance Excellence and works closely with individuals across Vistra

Job Description Key Accountabilities

•

Managing project management efforts and associated workshops, including lean efforts and requirements gathering meetings

•

Coordinating stakeholder activity to support key business and technology changes/enhancements

•

Providing insights into value-driving initiatives, applying lean principles to identify short- and long-term improvement opportunities

•

Leading project teams towards execution of project plan/improvements

•

Tracking progress of projects, including reporting status to leaders

•

Requires heavy utilization of data and analytical tools for analysis with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions for project evaluation / selection, improvement opportunities, and measurement of impacts

•

The primary job functions center around the following categories:

Management of Lean/Six Sigma/PM awareness

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

•

4+ years experience in consumer-oriented businesses

•

3+ years project management and/or process improvement experience (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Mgmt)

•

Above average analytical and project management skills

•

Outstanding proficiency creating PowerPoint presentations and utilizing Excel functions

•

Excellent presence, written and verbal communication, time management capabilities, and meeting facilitation skills, including history of presenting to audiences with executive leadership

•

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

Key Metrics

•

Manage projects within VST Retail portfolio to support enterprise business needs

•

Exemplify standardized best practices for all project management efforts

•

Maintain pipeline of business process improvement opportunities

•

Percentage of Enterprise Projects/Programs Completed by the Desired/Target Date

•

Sponsor Satisfaction Rating with Project Success, measuring the effectiveness of the analyst towards leading project objectives, managing schedule, and coordinating with stakeholders
