Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:
•Associate’s degree or above in business or related area of study or 4 years of work experience in a
•5+ years of payroll management and leadership experience, preferably in a multi-state manufacturing environment
What you Bring
•Must possess excellent working knowledge of garnishment and US federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
•Must possess a high degree of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity.
•Must be a logical self-starter with excellent project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Demonstrated experience managing a third-party payroll vendor relationship.
•Experience with time and attendance systems is required. UKG system and BI reporting preferred.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Require strong computer proficiency with spreadsheets and database structures.
•Certified Payroll Professional certification is highly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Oversee the administration of time and attendance systems and provide technical support to users as required.
•Develop, implement, and administer payroll policies and procedures for the payroll for all US and Canada Operating Business Units, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes.
•Responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll process in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner.
•Ensure compliance with US federal tax laws and all local and state tax regulations in those states where we have employees.
•Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits, and tax procedures to recommend and implement changes leading to best practice operations.
•Audit W-4s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc.
•Provide multi-state payroll tax reports, wage garnishments, and general ledger support.
•Prepare regular relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.).
•Create and provide periodic and special reports to corporate management employees using BI Reporting and other reporting tools.
•Act as liaison to and communicate with HR and Accounting departments as necessary.
•Administering process for unclaimed payments per the state escheat laws.
•Responsible for quarter-end and year-end special calculations, including relocation gross-up and leased vehicle fringes.
•Research and resolve all payroll tax inquiries.
•Managing the administration of temporary staffing in time and attendance module for tracking hours.
