The Parts Salesperson is responsible for selling, researching, and managing used/new industrial engine parts, and all parts associated with power generation, with a strong focus on Caterpillar products. This position requires knowledge of industrial engines, power generation, and components, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage parts listings, pricing, and vendor relationships to support company sales and profitability goals.
- Provide a solution for all parts request for both internal and external customers
- Provide parts research and technical information to customers using all available resources.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, quotes, and orders via FastTrack, Netcom, and other systems.
- Process parts orders and follow through with customers regarding order status and shipping details.
- Prospect and develop new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
- Communicate with customers regarding new products, current promotions, and industry trends.
- Address all customer concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Prepare written estimates and assist with coordinating field and shop repairs when needed.
- Manage and maintain parts listings in Salesforce, ensuring inventory accuracy by adding and removing items as needed.
- Assist with marketing efforts to promote used parts and achieve revenue targets.
- Research, develop, and manage competitive pricing for Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar products.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain information such as pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Participate in building and maintaining preferred supplier relationships.
- Generate purchase orders and manage the purchasing process for new and used parts.
- Generate invoices and required documentation for all parts sales and purchases.
- Utilize systems to maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activities.
- Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Attend sales meetings and mandatory training sessions.
- Report all recognized unsafe conditions or acts to Management.
- Wear proper PPE when necessary.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions and uphold company standards for housekeeping and appearance.
- Drive initiatives that support long-term operational excellence.
- Attend training sessions as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma, GED, trade school or equivalent.
- No certifications or licenses needed for this position.
- Knowledge of industrial engine components, specifically Caterpillar products, is required.
- Experience in parts sales or inventory management preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (Salesforce experience a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
