PARTS PERSON – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Parts Person is responsible for shipping and receiving duties as well as maintaining parts inventory for the Maintenance Facility.

Responsibilities:

•

Ensure that Trican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations" is the priority in all activities

•

Maintain parts inventory for oilfield heavy equipment, trucks, and various other vehicles

•

Ship, receive, and order parts as required by maintenance and operations

•

Manage and process inventory transactions and purchases for the base

•

Aid in the training and development of new employees

•

Process paperwork in a timely manner

•

Issue purchase order numbers for purchased stock

Experience & Skills:

•

Previous experience in the Parts field is an asset

•

As a condition of employment, enrollment in the Parts Technician Apprenticeship is required

•

Valid Class 5 license is required

•

Safe driving skills; driver's abstract will be requested

•

High school diploma is an asset

•

Inventory/procurement management systems experience is an asset

•

Experience using a Forklift is an asset

•

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

•

Some knowledge of the Canadian Vehicle Standards Association/safety profile program
