PPI Quality & Engineering is supporting our parent company, Kiwa North America (KGNA), in the search for a qualified Paralegal to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal research, drafting, and reviewing documents, and managing case files. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our legal department and requires a professional with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities
Document Management:
•Draft, review, and format legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, NDAs, etc.
•Maintain organized and secure filing systems for physical and electronic documents.
Legal Research:
•Conduct research on statutes, case law, and regulations relevant to the company’s legal matters.
•Summarize findings and provide recommendations
Contract and Compliance Support:
•Assist with contract preparation, amendments, and execution processes.
•Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Case and Matter Management:
•Coordinate and track litigation or arbitration cases, including managing case files, deadlines, and discovery documents.
•Liaise with external counsel and stakeholders on case progress and document requirements.
Administrative Support:
•Schedule meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
•Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes as required.
•Prepare, track, and reconcile legal department expenses.
•Provide cross-functional administrative support.
Corporate Governance:
•Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents, including board resolutions, annual reports, and regulatory filings.
•Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Client and Stakeholder Liaison:
•Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external clients regarding legal inquiries.
Risk Management:
•Identify potential legal risks and escalate to the appropriate legal counsel.
•Support risk mitigation efforts by maintaining compliance trackers and follow-up systems.
Requirements
Education:
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.
•Paralegal certification from an accredited institution
Experience:
•8+ years of experience as a corporate paralegal
•Experience in corporate, commercial, or litigation environments is an advantage
•Experience with international contracts and cross-border transactions.
•Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in Oil & Gas or TIC sectors.
Skills:
•Strong knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and documentation
•Proficient in legal research tools (e.g. Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software
•Advanced PowerPoint and Excel user
•Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
•Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to handle confidential information with care.
