Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced CEMS Panel Shop Fabricator to join our growing team. This hands-on role is critical to the quality, performance, and compliance of our custom-built Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS). You'll be responsible for fabricating control panels, managing parts and inventory, assisting with repairs, and at times supporting the installation of systems in the field. This role requires technical precision, a proactive mindset, and a genuine desire to contribute to a high-performing team.● Land wires and create service loops with clean, organized routing of lines and tubing
● Drill/tap control panels, modify enclosures, and mount electrical devices
● Work from engineer drawings, and manufacturers’ and/or fabricators’ prints schematics to verify conformance with contract specifications.
● Label and wire electrical components and instruments following electrical symbols and schematics
● Work with hardware components including PLCs, VFDs, relays, terminal blocks, and circuit breakers
● Identify wire gauge, color, and ampacity ratings to ensure correct configuration
● Safely and effectively use fabrication tools such as power drills, saws, soldering irons, crimpers, cutters, etc.
● Receive, label, and document inventory in QuickBooks and internal spreadsheets
● Track incoming/outgoing parts including new, used, or repaired items
● Load/unload shipments using a forklift, pallet jack, or handcart
● Maintain a clean, labeled, and organized warehouse where inventory matches digital records
● Collaborate with the Office Manager on PPE and warehouse supply procurement
● Ensure all warehouse activities meet OSHA safety standards
● Conduct technician-level bench repairs on CEMS equipment
● Troubleshoot equipment and document diagnostics, repair hours, and customer job details
● Reference SOPs and methods to execute preventive maintenance (PMs) in the field when required
● Collaborate with field technicians to install newly built panels and equipment racks at client sites
● Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in panel fabrication or electrical assembly
● Ability to read and work from technical drawings and schematics
● Strong understanding of electrical wiring, hardware components, and safe tool usage
● Experience with inventory systems (QuickBooks preferred) and spreadsheet documentation
● Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift/pallet jack)
