Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on construction sites, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various surfaces. The Painter will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to the overall success of renovation projects.
Responsibilities
•
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
•
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
•
Perform drywall repairs and caulking to ensure smooth surfaces before painting.
•
Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
•
Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and renovation.
•
Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure quality standards are met.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
•
Assist in frame carpentry and trim carpentry as required during projects.
•
Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.
Requirements
•
Proven experience in construction painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
•
Familiarity with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, and renovation processes is preferred.
•
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
•
Knowledge of drywall installation and repair techniques is a plus.
•
Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics in finished work.
•
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites.
•
Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting materials, and working in various weather conditions.
