Key Responsibilities
•
Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas that should not be painted.
•
Paint Application: Use spray guns and other equipment to apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to a variety of materials, including metal, wood, and plastic.
•
Mixing Paints: Select and mix paints according to specifications, ensuring the correct color and consistency.
•
Quality Control: Inspect finished work for quality, ensuring that surfaces are free of defects, smudges, or inconsistencies.
•
Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns and brushes, to ensure optimal performance.
•
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe workspace to prevent accidents and injuries.
Skills and Qualifications
•
Experience: Proven work experience as a spray painter or in a similar role within an industrial setting.
•
Technical Skills: Knowledge of different types of paints and coatings, as well as the ability to operate spray painting equipment effectively.
•
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.
•
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
•
Communication Skills: Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and understand project requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
