§ Understanding of job-related safety, PPE and guidelines.

§ Work experience/knowledge of automotive mixing system, materials and processes including determining paint and tint formulas, mixing materials, applying paint with accuracy and quality, cleaning and storage of paint and related materials and maintain equipment in organized, safe order, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

§ Knowledge and experience with use of hand- and power-tools (sander, drill, etc).

§ Understanding of computer-generated graphic and engineering shop drawings (CAD and Graphic Concepts)

§ Must be able to follow specific instructions, accept direction, and willingness to learn new skills and grow professionally.

Attendance – Must be committed to good attendance; must have ability to travel to and from the Company’s main facility for all scheduled shifts. Must be available to work overtime outside of the scheduled shift which may include weekends and evenings.

Travel – This position should not require out-of-town travel.

Physical strength and stamina — Ability to perform multiple tasks that require extensive physical labor, including lifting, climbing, bending, digging, and operating hand and power tools; has a high level of physical exertion; potentially in extreme temperature conditions, Ability to single-lift 50 lbs manually. You are always expected to self-monitor for safe execution of your duties each day with a commitment to safe operations.

Manual dexterity and coordination — Requires excellent hand-eye coordination, ability to move hands quickly, grasp and assemble items with both hands.

Reading and math skills — Ability to read and use a tape measure and other measuring gauges as required; be able to read and match numerical and alpha characters quickly and accurately.

Excellent vision and depth perception —Must have acceptable site and depth perception to read blueprints and see details at close range, as well as from a distance and gauge and adjust dials to ensure products, machinery and equipment is functioning properly and the ability to perceive how near or how far objects, products, machinery, and equipment – including ability to see and perform functions for all equipment required.

Computer skills – Position requires general computer knowledge.

Safety – Requires commitment to safety at all times including required training and certifications for equipment operation. Position requires specific training and PEE for safe operations of installation equipment.

Maintain Clean, Organized Work Centers/Manufacturing Areas:

Daily shift-end housekeeping is required for each work center and work area. Trash and debris should be removed to maintain on-going organization for the prevention of trips, slips and falls. Cleaning should include sweeping and removing all items on the floor, walkways, dispose of trash, and debris from production including burrs, wood dust, metal trimmings, scrap, etc). Air hoses and temporary electrical cords should be properly stored.

Knowledge of Products, Processes and Applications:

Position must obtain and maintain a continuous clear understanding of raw materials, manufacturing procedures, and labor processes and requirements for each work center. Establish on-going communication of order status and completion dates with co-departments, including sales, project management, engineering, purchasing, accounting, shipping, and installation.

Focus on Scrap and Waste Elimination:

Provide knowledge, training and support for manufacturing processes and systems (Kazan events, etc.) to arrange, locate all materials, parts, and supplies; create and implement improved manufacturing processes and Team-Continuous Improvement events to eliminate labor and material waste, increase productivity, efficiency, and overall profit. .

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred, Work-related experience and training in automotive painting
