Paint line - Lab Technician (2nd shift)

JOB TITLE: Lab Technician

REPORTS TO: Department Manager with direction from Team Leader

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 2nd Shift Position (7 PM-3AM) Monday-Friday

STARTING PAY:$23.24 per hour, with the ability to earn more.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Tech to join our Paint line team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our paint processes meet the highest quality standards. As a Paint Line Lab Tech, you will work closely with the production team to monitor the paint application process, analyzing samples, and implementing quality control measures. You will be responsible for conducting tests on coatings and finishes to measure their durability, adhesion, and appearance, contributing to the overall efficiency of our painting operations. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

- Conduct routine inspections of paint application processes to ensure compliance with standards.

- Collect and analyze samples of coatings for quality assurance purposes.

- Perform tests to evaluate product durability, adhesion, and finish quality.

- Document findings and report issues or discrepancies to management in a timely manner.

- Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot any paint line issues.

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control protocols.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance paint line efficiency and quality.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a paint line or coatings.

- Familiarity with paint and coating technologies and application techniques.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Must pass company background check and drug screen.
