Wet Painter / Powder Coat Technician Job Summary
The Wet Painter / Powder Coat position is for properly coating small to large parts of different metal substrates to various customer and commercial paint specifications.

Wet Painter / Powder Coat Technician Education and / or Experience:
- High school diploma (preferred) or GED.
- Previous industrial painting experience, required.
- Apprenticeship programs, vocational training, community, or technical colleges preferred, but not required.
- Experience with industrial painting and powder coating, required.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and paint specifications, desired.
- Experience with or ability to learn to use hand grinding equipment.
- Ability to learn to use, read, and understand measuring tools.
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing/production facility, desired.
Wet Painter / Powder Coat Technician Duties:
- Maintains attention to detail during paint processes to achieve desired finish.
- Conducts wet spray painting with HVLP cup gun and pressure pot systems.
- Mixes and measure paint per instructions.
- Preps substrate of parts per specs before paint is applied to ensure good adhesion.
- Complies with all related operations processes/procedures, including inspections for conformance to specifications.
- Uses computer to record times and temperatures involved in the paint process.
