We are looking for a highly motivated, results-driven sales professional with a proven record of success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, preferably within the metals industry. This role focuses on cultivating and expanding relationships with new and existing customers throughout the Western US Territory. The position is home-office-based and requires extensive travel within the territory, as well as periodic visits to our headquarters in Columbia, SC. alimex provides the tools, training, management support, and a competitive compensation structure to ensure the success of our sales team.
· Customer Acquisition and Retention: Develop and execute strategies to identify and engage new clients while nurturing and growing relationships with existing customers.
· Sales Execution: Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a high conversion rate by effectively addressing customer needs and demonstrating alimex’s product advantages.
· Territory Management: Proactively manage the Western US sales territory, including planning travel schedules, managing leads, and meeting sales quotas.
· Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to position alimex as the premier choice for aluminum cast plate solutions.
· Product Demonstrations and Proposals: Conduct compelling presentations showcasing alimex products and solutions, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts.
· Customer Support: Act as a liaison to ensure customer satisfaction, addressing issues promptly and coordinating with internal teams as necessary.
· Reporting and CRM Utilization: Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics in the company CRM system.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred; metals industry experience is highly desirable.
· A minimum of 3-5 years of successful outside sales experience.
· Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive, technical environment.
· Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and general technology adaptability.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently, with excellent time management skills.
· Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Western US Territory by car or air.
· Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., for product samples or equipment).
· Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor during prolonged periods of travel and desk-based work.
