Greenpoint Metals is a reliable source for high-quality slit steel products and services. We specialize in narrow slitting coils down to a half inch and also provide Multi-Cut Blanking and stretcher leveling services from .015" to .135" up to 72" wide and 144" long. Greenpoint supplies products nationally with a focus on the Midwest and East Coast, ensuring customers receive precise and dependable metal processing services.
Location: Ohio (must be within reasonable driving distance to Franklin, OH; in-office 1–2 days per week)
The Outside Sales Representative will represent Greenpoint Metals, selling slit and sheeted steel to existing and new customers. This role is responsible for defending and growing Greenpoint’s market share through disciplined account management, consultative selling, and relentless pursuit of new business opportunities.
· Defend market share within current accounts in a highly competitive marketplace.
· Grow share within existing account base by applying a consultative sales approach to uncover new opportunities and expand business relationships.
· Relentlessly pursue new customers through a balanced mix of in-office prospecting and on-the-road sales calls.
· Provide actionable market feedback to leadership regarding shifts in customer demand, pricing trends, and competitor activity.
· Collaborate closely with your Inside Sales Representative to define the best division of responsibilities, manage workload effectively, and ensure excellent customer service.
· Develop strong customer relationships built on trust, reliability, and a focus on value creation.
· Represent Greenpoint Metals professionally, upholding company values in every interaction.
· Demonstrated attitude, knowledge, and skill to succeed as a professional Sales Representative.
· Maintains an aggressive growth mindset with a clear focus on new business development.
· Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
· Deeply curious and skilled at discovery, consistently asking the right questions and actively listening to identify customer needs.
· Strong ability to translate customer needs into business opportunities for Greenpoint Metals.

· Highly organized, accountable, and driven by measurable results.
· Minimum of five years of outside sales experience, preferably in a transactional, commodity-based industry (steel or similar).
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred, but not required.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a competitive market.
