Our commitment to our customers is to provide professional, efficient, environmentally responsible, full-service scrap metal recycling and asset recovery. Our Calgary facilities are centrally located for easy access of large or small deliveries of all metals.
To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, committed, and energetic Outside Sales member to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Commercial, this position is responsible for maintaining current sources and generating new sources of scrap metal from the market.
Key Responsibilities:
•Gather appropriate local market information for scrap metal, monitor cost trends and availability of supply
•Maintain current customer base and generate new business and sources of scrap metal
•Interact with various departments with regards to the proper inspection, grading and quality of materials delivered to site
•Assess, identify, and grade the quality of ferrous and non-ferrous metals for purchase
•Take responsibility for increasing purchase volumes and the protection and expansion of profit margins
•Assist existing and future customers with questions regarding the pricing of materials and types of material accepted
•Provide a professional and courteous service to all internal and external customers
•Effectively communicate internal scrap quality and acceptance procedures and ensure strict compliance with current regulations and policies
•Other projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor

Experience in a Reverse Sales or
Buyer* position, preferably in scrap metal or steel industry
•Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills is a must
•Proficient in the use of computers and software such as MSWord, Excel, and Outlook
•Highly detail oriented, with exceptional organizational and time management skills is a must
