# Temporary Summer Position

90 Days or Less

$23.00 /hr.

Note: This is a full time, temporary position for the summer, with primary focuses for students.

Summary

- Provide general labor services as needed in the plant and mine as required.

- Store, stock and handle all material including but not limited to; fuel, rock, clinker, and cement.

- Operate mobile equipment, cement loading, shipping, reclaim and transfer equipment.

- Perform basic repairs to facilitate plant operation.

- Special Projects

Specific Accountabilities:

- Operate mobile equipment.

- Perform inspections on mobile equipment.

- Perform necessary tasks to ensure good housekeeping for a safe and efficient operation.

- Assist other departments as needed.

- Work with little or no supervision.

- Contribute to daily reports and other routine reports about special projects or incidents.

- Perform cleaning tasks in the warehouse area such as broken pallets, empty pallets, floors and shelves in the warehouse.

- Ensure the own safety and that of the work site and inform the Supervisor of any existing irregularity.

- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.

- Must have a history of working in a safe manner.

- Have a good attitude and customer service oriented

- Must be very well organized and manage time and priorities in a way that results in a minimal backlog.

- Must have a working knowledge of computers and computerized receiving and distribution systems, maintenance systems and be capable of applying the knowledge to daily transaction processing.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
