· Background in Logistics – this will include investigating the purchasing of equipment
· Coordinating, tracking and ensuring proper equipment in each plant and retail location
· Verify Metal coil allocations to all plants for manufacturing
· Researching and assisting growth opportunities with manufacturing and retail location space
· Researching both metal manufacturing equipment and metal roofing and siding equipment
· Maintain contact with clients by following up on orders
· Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
· Oversee dealer and contractor account set up and pricing
· Conduct plant inspections and provide constructive feed back to General Manager
· Standard operating procedures – provide input and ensure execution of SOP’s
· Create long-term plans and initiatives to accomplish company goals efficiently
· Coordinating with other teams to implement strategies and cross-training efforts
· Analyzing budgets to minimize expenses without sacrificing profits
· Developing and implementing strategies to keep employees motivated and dedicated
· Identifying problems and coming up with effective solutions quickly
· Monitoring changing market conditions and adjusting strategies accordingly
· Ability to travel to locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
· Lead, motivate and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
· Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems
· Work closely with Safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant
· Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management
· Proven success in an operations management role
· Strong skills in budget development and oversight
· Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
· Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
· Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field
· Multiple years of financial and account reporting experience
