OPERATIONS MANAGER
Scope/Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Operations Manager
to lead all aspects of manufacturing at our Houston facility. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing production, quality, safety, maintenance, supply chain coordination, and continuous improvement. The Operations Manager will also hold full P&L responsibility for the operation, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals and driving operational efficiency, cost control, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities•Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, quality assurance, maintenance, and inventory control.
•Ensure all production targets, deadlines, and quality standards are met or exceeded.
•Maintain a safe, compliant, and productive workplace by enforcing OSHA and company safety standards.
•Own and manage the profit and loss (P&L) performance of the Houston facility.
•Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support revenue growth.
•Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
•Implement and sustain lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
•Lead, mentor, and develop staff to build a high-performing team culture.
•Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to identify trends and drive data-based decision making.
•Participate in capital planning, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
•Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business, or related field; or relevant/equivalent experience.
•5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, ideally in valve or industrial equipment manufacturing.
•Proven experience managing a manufacturing P&L and achieving financial targets.
•Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on, accountable management style.
•Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement tools.
•Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•ERP and manufacturing software experience preferred.
Work Environment
•This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Houston, Texas manufacturing facility.
•May require occasional travel to other SPC locations, suppliers or customers.
