Zia currently serves approximately 39,000 customers in the state of New Mexico primarily in Colfax, Dona Ana, Lea, and Lincoln. An Operations and Maintenance Technician for Zia Natural Gas Company will be responsible for the following duties:

- Service Calls

- Emergency Response to leak calls, hit lines or meters, and other abnormal operating conditions

- Line Locates

- Patrols, Surveys

- Cathodic Protection

- Atmospheric Corrosion Protection

- Maintain field facilities

- Meter Reading and Meter Maintenance

- Maintenance/Construction of gas pipe facilities

- Variety of other operations and maintenance related tasks as requested.

Qualified candidates should have a H.S. Diploma or GED. Mechanical, plumbing, construction, or maintenance skills are preferred. Additional consideration may be given to applicants with backhoe, excavation, pipelining, or welding experience or candidates who have a CDL. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are beneficial but not required.

Due to federal regulations, Zia’s vehicle insurance requirements, and nature of job description, a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and driving record check are required.

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
