As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in driving business growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the multi-residential sector.
Our core business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (may vary depending on the role). This position is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, results-driven, and eager to contribute to our expanding presence in the Western and Prairie province markets.
General Description:
Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, an Account Executive develops business relationships within the defined sales territory and market, provides client support, & monitors client satisfaction, generate sales opportunities, adopts the company’s marketing tools and identifies potential marketing initiatives, prepares cost estimates and customer quotations, and updates the CRM on a daily / as needed basis.
Characteristics, Features, Requirements:
This position requires expertise in sales, marketing, administrative, project management, and technical skills. The major responsibility includes direct selling through the use of cold calls, sales leads, sales presentations, networking events and maintaining & developing business relationships. Specifically targeting & securing business relationships in the multi-residential sector with developers, condominiums, property managers and rental apartment property owners as well as client support with the Director of Sales Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Reporting:
The Account Executive reports directly to the Director of Sales. The Account Executive is required to report as follows, but not limited to:
•Meet on a weekly basis with the sales team to share progress and updates;
•Update the CRM on a daily / as needed basis.
Important and Essential Duties:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Management Responsibilities and Initiatives
•Assist in establishing Yearly and Quarterly Sales Forecasts for the Western and Prairie Provinces marketplace as well as other markets as determined;
•Report to Director of Sales on Weekly Sales, Sales Challenges, Competitive Changes, necessary Strategies Adjustments and Sales Team status and any Field Level customer feedback;
•Collect and Report Market Intelligence on Competitive Offerings and Contract Differentials for the Western and Prairie Provinces, New Development and Retrofit Markets;
•Collaborate on the assembly and adjustments to Market Strategies for the Western and Prairie Provinces New Development and Retrofit Markets with Senior Management;
•Keep Apprised of and Report on New Competitive Threats, Adjusted Competitive Offerings, and Changing Market Trends that could affect aforementioned Sales Forecast;
•By way of report, provide insight on areas that will improve visibility amongst Development and Retrofit Markets;
•By way of report, provide insight on areas that will give CARMA a competitive advantage in the Development and Retrofit Markets.
Project/Equipment Process Management
•Prepare proposals/quotes;
•Work with customers to define/understand scope of work/services (e.g., a key consideration of any job);
•Oversee project from inception to completion.
•Regularly review project status
•Provide updates to stakeholders
•Help address any site issues (e.g., delays, deliveries)
•Help coordinate with clients/contractors
Sales Responsibilities and Initiatives
•Meet Secured Sales goals as assigned annually;
•Direct customer selling;
•Attend/Host presentations and /or lunch and learn sessions for Consulting Engineers;
•Secure business and maintain sales backlog;
•Monitor customer satisfaction and performance.
Experience/Knowledge/Ability
•Solid knowledge of CARMA’s products and services;
•Deep understanding of submetering and utility billing concepts, including knowledge of regulations
•Exceptional relationship management abilities;
•Proven leadership and team-building skills in a fast pace environment;
•Analytical and disciplined in sales forecasting and reporting;
•Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
•Ability to meet timelines;
•Must be able to work independently;
•Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite;
•Strong Negotiating skills;
•Committed to standards of the highest professionalism and ethical behavior;
•Handles confidential Information with discretion.
Qualifications
•Experience in Sales and contract negotiations;
•Post-Secondary education in Sales Management is considered an asset.

•Home office/sales environment;
•Ability to work long and non‐conventional hours to achieve sales goals;
•Driving required. Valid Class G driver’s license and applicable insurance is required;
