POSITION OVERVIEW: Offshore Site Technician - All roles report to the Offshore Site Manager and is held accountable for all responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables. The Offshore Site Manager can decide to re-arrange the responsibilities, tasks and deliverables previously described between the team members.
- Ad-hoc tasks from outside from the Construction package as required by the project such as retrofit campaigns or snags.
- Day to day tasks related to the maintenance of the OSS/OFTO (See below for more detailed description)
- Participate in supporting transfers via boat landing on offshore structures
- Promote discipline and accountability among colleagues.
- Actively foster and reinforce a strong safety culture among the team.
- Actively promote initiatives regarding digital tools.
- Operating the OSS- crane, davit lifting systems and manual hoists.
- Maintenance and replacement of defective fall-arrestors.
- Assist in snags after installation.
- Cleaning of offshore assets using jet/power washer (includes boat landings etc.).
- Responsible for managing all toilets changing out.
- Ad-hoc tasks (both onshore and offshore).
- Assist OSS mechanical snags after installation
- Site OSS walk-downs and checks (as directed by CM).
- Assist with fuelling, cargo unloading and of loading of vessels for assets.
- Cleaning of OSS decks, e.g. mould/mildew, bird guano and removal of water.
- Ice Removal on the gangway and platform.
- Ad-hoc tasks offshore e.g. PPE management.
- HLO or HDA at the OSS where helicopter transport is planned.
- Walk down/handover inspections.
- Check, maintain and replace any damaged items on the offshore structures such as gate pins, latches, etc.
- Undertake inductions, HSE drills and POB counts for the OSS platforms.
- Installation and removal of reflectors in support of installation vessels.
- Removal of waste from structures.
- Assist with lifting operations including slinging and signaling.
- GWO courses: Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling.
- Some projects (where helicopters will be used for transportation) BOSIET/HUET incl. CA-EBS.
- OGUK Medical certificate incl. Chester Step.
- Relevant education: Rigger/Bandsman/Slinger, Cutting/Grinding/Drilling.
- Travel might be required for additional training or participation in project events.
