Job Description:

•

Working in compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations for Cementation.

•

Monitoring any health and safety hazards or infractions and reporting same to HealthSafety Department.

•

Participating in the office safety program.

•

Creating letters, memos, and communications regarding healthsafety for the workforce

•

Creating spread sheets, summaries, and matrices as required.

•

Assisting with the administration of health and safety projects as required.

•

Aiding with the development of safety resources materials.

•

Assisting with data entry and integration of safety related software.

•

Recommending measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.

•

Ordering suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety if in the field performing Industrial Hygiene duties.

•

Developing or maintaining hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, continuous atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, or asbestos management plans.

•

Collecting samples of dust, gases, vapors, or other potentially toxic materials for analysis.

•

Investigating the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance.

•

Providing new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.

•

Inspecting specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:

•

Certificate of Completion for 40-Hour Underground New Miner Training.

•

Certificate of Completion for 10 hours of OSHA training.

•

Knowledge of safety standards for underground mining environments.

•

Knowledge of Industrial hygiene sampling and reporting in an underground environment.

•

Knowledge of safety management and industrial hygiene sampling data storage software.

•

Knowledge of International Standards and MSHA standards specific to underground mining.

•

Knowledge of risk management principles and research methods for safety and health equipment selection.

•

20% domestic travel required.

Work Location: 10150 Centennial Pkwy, STE 400 Sandy, UT 84070

Hours of work: Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
