NYC Queens/LIC RN School Nurse

Position Overview:

We are looking for skilled and caring Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide full time, part time, and per diem coverage in QUEENS/LONG ISLAND CITY AREA in NYC public/private schools for the upcoming school year. This is an independent contractor role an excellent opportunity to contribute to student well-being in a school-based environment.

Compensation:

$40 – $45+ per hour (1099 Contractor Role)

- Administer prescribed medications and provide basic first aid care

- Monitor students with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and severe allergies

- Respond promptly to health-related incidents and emergencies

- Maintain required documentation and student health records in line with NYC DOE and NYS guidelines

- Coordinate with parents, faculty, and school personnel to support students' health needs

Requirements:

- Active RN license issued by the State of New York

- Current CPR and First Aid certification (mandatory)

- Previous experience in pediatric care, school nursing, or community health is strongly preferred

- Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills
