ROLE SUMMARY:

Join Baker Hughes’ Climate Technology Solutions team in a high-impact leadership role, responsible for driving strategic positioning, sales growth, and long-term business development for new energy offerings across North America. This role is pivotal in shaping the region’s energy transition journey, building customer intimacy, and leading the development of innovative climate-saving solutions.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead and prioritize long-term customer and project development to ensure a robust, high-margin pipeline for CTS offerings in North America.

- Develop and execute strategies to position Baker Hughes as a critical partner in emerging carbon capture, hydrogen, and integrated power markets.

- Drive business development efforts for critical pilot projects, supporting the launch of new technologies.

- Build and manage a high-performing regional sales team, fostering contemporary solution sales capabilities.

- Map and align Baker Hughes’ energy transition vision with customer and partner needs, developing plans for continual, long-term engagement.

- Identify and cultivate key partnerships and alliances to promote Baker Hughes’ value proposition.

- Stay close to industry and government trends, discovering sources of project funding and new opportunities.

- Manage complex and technical sales processes, involving both client and internal stakeholders, to close orders and partnership deals.

- Deliver quarterly sales, margin, and new customer outreach targets for the region.

- Promote understanding and capability within internal stakeholders to deliver at the speed and content required by the energy transition market.


PIVOTAL EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE:

- 10+ years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in energy, power generation, or climate technology sectors.

- Demonstrated success in leading teams and influencing within a complex, global-matrix organization.

- Strong leadership, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical content to diverse audiences.

- Proven ability to anticipate customer needs and drivers, enabling the closing of complex deals and business agreements.

- Experience and network in carbon capture, hydrogen, or power markets is highly desirable.

- Ability to analyze and resolve problems, take ownership, and execute results.

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in communications, business, public policy, or related field preferred.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

- Must live in North America, with the ability to work across global time zones


- Domestic/international travel required
