Multi Skilled Operator

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Mechanic to join their operations in Hobbs, NM. This role offers a strong opportunity to establish yourself within a leading oil and gas operator. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with large horsepower equipment and a background in maintaining and troubleshooting VRUs, air compressors, pumps, and other production support equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on a variety of rotating equipment, including VRUs, air compressors, pumps, and large horsepower engines.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures and perform corrective actions.

- Operate and maintain compression units such as Caterpillar 3608 and 3516 engines.

- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety programs and meetings.

- Communicate effectively with foremen and fellow operators to ensure equipment is running efficiently.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.

- Support production operations by ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on oilfield equipment, preferably in compression or production support roles.

- Proficiency with VRUs, pumps, air compressors, and large horsepower engines (e.g., Cat 3608, Cat 3516).

- Prior experience with companies such as Archrock, USA Compression, or Flogistics is highly desirable.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment.

- Must be willing to work on-site in Hobbs, NM on a 9/80 schedule.
