Job Summary
The Mitigation Technician plays a critical front-line role, responding to emergency property damage caused by water. Working as part of a field team, the Technician is responsible for stabilizing the situation, preserving property, and delivering excellent service to customers during stressful events. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on technical abilities, and a customer-first mindset.
What You’ll Do
•Respond to emergency service calls including water extraction and property stabilization.
•Protect and preserve customer property using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
•Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
•Set up, monitor, and break down drying equipment per IICRC standards.
•Maintain clean and organized vehicles, tools, and workspaces.
•Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, supervisors, and teammates on the scope of work and next steps.
•Document job progress with photos, notes, and moisture readings in the company’s systems.
•Assist with demolition and controlled removal of affected building materials when needed.
•Follow job site instructions with minimal supervision while remaining flexible and adaptable.
•Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
•1+ years of experience in restoration, construction, facilities, or related field preferred (we’re willing to train the right candidate).
•IICRC certification(s) a plus (WRT, FSRT, AMRT).
•Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
•Able to lift 50+ lbs, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
•Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
•Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
•Comfortable using mobile devices and software for inventory management.
